Emergency Appointments
Emergency appointments are available at Louth Vision Centre and when available we aim to offer an appointment on the same day. If we are unable to see you in practice, we can advise you with next most appropriate action for your concerns.
When problems with your eyes occur, especially in an emergency it can be very distressing.

A number of things may happen to your eyes which would be classed as an emergency including:
- Red eye

Our optical assistants & optometrists are trained to the highest standard to manage any ocular emergencies. Optical assistants will usually ask you some questions when you present with your emergency or contact us. This is to ensure our highly trained optometrists are able to advise you the best action in resolving your emergency, within the most appropriate timescale. Usually this will involve seeing us in practice for an appointment or in some cases potentially seeing another health professional such as your GP or going to the hospital, as this maybe the most suitable action.
Your eyesight is precious, if you notice any problems or you have something that concerns you, ensure you get advice immediately.
